In early 2005, after discovering that the digital television channel abc1 didn't have a website itself, I decided to make my own unofficial version for viewers and fans of the channel to be able to find out the latest news and information in one place.
So, with that in mind I started work, and in March 2005 the first version of the site was launched and was an instant hit with viewers of the channel.
By July 2005 the site's visitor numbers were continuing to grow, so I teamed up with John Thackery to move the site to a new server, with a new web address (abc1uk.co.uk) and new features such as a forum to establish a community.
By early 2006 the site was averaging hundreds of unique visitors a day, which is when Myles Noton joined the team to lead a redesign of the site, to bring new features and a new look.
During this time Disney, the owners of ABC1, provided me with up to date information on the channel, such as new programme launches, and I was able to conduct interviews with several stars from abc1 shows which were published on the site.
Sadly however, the channel was axed in September 2007 and in turn the site closed along with it.
